Bess Rootz is a family name, not a franchise

Bess Rootz started with a simple thing: people around Florence needed trees taken down safely, and they wanted somebody they could actually get on the phone. Not a number that rings an office three states away. Not a crew that shows up with a clipboard and a list of upsells.

So that is what we built. A family outfit, working out of Florence, taking calls from people we'll see at the grocery store next week. It changes how you do the work. You take down the pine over the neighbor's roof like it is your own roof, because around here it nearly is.

We do the four things a homeowner actually needs — removals, trimming and pruning, stump grinding, and storm cleanup — and we do them in a 90 mile circle around town. When a storm rolls through and there are trees down on driveways and houses, that becomes the whole job for a few days. We answer at night, we come out, and we get things passable again. That is the part of this work we are proudest of.
